Ana Grajales is an Uruguayan textile artist and industrial designer, now based in Mallorca. Her work emerges from an intimate dialogue with materials and the territory, exploring the relationship between the body, consciousness, and nature.
Through an intuitive process, Ana re-signifies fragments of life and interweaves living memories, influenced by the nature and textures of the landscape that surrounds her. Her artistic language fuses her Uruguayan roots with the identity of her new island home. She uses a mix of wools (Uruguayan merino and rustic Mallorcan wool) to create pieces with a unique character, seeking to connect the inner and outer worlds, while questioning human vulnerability and our relationship with our environment.
