Ayse Habibe Kucuk is a London-based artist with roots in Gaziantep, in South East Turkey. She trained as a sculptural ceramic artist at Sakarya University and works primarily with hand-building techniques to create both functional and sculptural pieces.
Her works are individually crafted by hand, featuring either raw textured surfaces or soft, earthy neutral glazes. Every piece is made in clay, carrying its own uniqueness, and produced in her Hackney studio-gallery.
Alongside her practice, Ayse also teaches, sharing her passion for clay and guiding early-stage ceramists and hobbyists in a wide range of ceramic techniques.
