Lætitia Jacquetton grew up in rural Burgundy, France, exploring the woods with her
grandfather and wading barefoot through sparkling rock-strewn torrents.
With a background in fashion design, Jacquetton began to focus on her life long love
for handcrafts and folk art.
In 2018 she took a trip to Japan to know more about Mingei and further her interest
In the Kyoto stone garden.
The opportunity to blow glass in Okinawa was a life-changing experience which
initiated the thought of rocks and glass existing together.
Jacquetton furthered her glassblowing apprenticeship in Murano, Venice where she
now works supported with the best masters in glass-blowing.
In Japan her work is represented by Gallery Escapers. The work has been shown in
Paris by Galerie Sinople, Private Choice Paris, In New-York by Lauren Manooginan,
in New-Zealand by Föenander galleries, in Japan by Gallery Sugata in Kyoto,
Escapers gallery in Tokyo and Phaeton in Kanazawa.
