Pascale Zintzen is the founder of Oikos Estudio, and a Belgian multidisciplinary artist based between Barcelona and El Baix Ebre, Spain. Her work spans a range of techniques and materials—including clay, tapestry, painting, and lime—through which she explores the poetics of craftsmanship and materiality. Zintzen’s practice is defined by slow, intentional making, honoring the time and natural rhythm each piece requires. Deeply inspired by nature and ancestral domestic objects, her work reflects a reverence for the "oikos"—the home and habitat of human existence.
At the heart of her practice is clay, a material through which she creates works that blur the lines between sculpture and functional art. Each piece is hand-built and fired in her studio. She gathers wild pigments to brush onto the surface of her artworks. These experimental glazes embrace unpredictability, allowing space for spontaneity and a sense of alchemy to emerge. Zintzen’s artistic language is grounded in her background as an archaeologist, with a specialization in domestic ceramics—a foundation that informs both her aesthetic and conceptual approach.
Pascale’s work is showcased and represented by Galerie Lalune (France) and Etesian Gallery (Menorca). Her work is also curated in various European showrooms, in Madrid, Stockholm, or Paris.
