Between curiosity and obsession, studio engpiplard is devoted to collecting objects and tools from the past to question their singularities. The forgotten, the oldest, in the shadow of interests or at the heart of fascination, their research develops through the material traces of yesteryear. Like everyday actors, almost personified, these objects become intermediaries and allies, fostering imagination and questioning new uses.
Their practice places particular emphasis on valuing handcraftsmanship and the inherent intelligence of natural materials.
